Claremont Fire

The BLM area closure related to the Claremont Fire is scheduled to expire August 1 at 11:59 p.m. This will open most of the Ridge to Rivers trail system that has been closed due to the fire. However, the USFS closure order remains in effect, closing the uppermost ends of Dry Creek Trail, Trail 4, Trail 4A, 5-Mile Gulch Trail and a small portion of the Hulls Gulch Interpretive Trail. Ridge to Rivers crews will be out in the next couple of weeks removing fire-related obstacles from the trails and returning them to usable condition. Until that is complete, expect to find large rocks, downed trees and burned brush impeding the trailway in any fire- effected area. Have a good weekend.
